Board met in regular Meeting called to order Present: Trustees Tubbs, In Re Resolution of Intention In Re PERMIT- James Confectionery. In Re Request Berkeley City In Re Trustee Dale Excused Resolution of Intention No. 7oo Santa Aha City Hall, May 19th, 1921. ?:0~0 adjourned session. by Pres. Mitchell. Chapman, Dale and Greenleaf. This being the day, hour end place fixed by Resolution of Intention No. 699, when and where any and all persona having any objections to the proposed work or improvement might appear before the Board of Trustees amd show cause why such proposed improvement should ~t be carried out in accordance with Resolution of Intention No. 699. No writ- ten or other protest was filed or presented and no appeared to protest or object to the proposed work or provement, O~mmot~on~o~tTrus~ee Greenleaf duly meoonded by Dale and carried, James Confectionery store was granted permission to have installed an electric sign in front of their place of business, as per their request under the supervision of the City Electric~tnepeotor. A communication from the City of Berkeley in reference to this City passing a Resolution endorsing Senate Bill No. 39? pert~ning to Hydro-Electric energy. On motion of Trustee Greenleaf duly meconded by Chapman and carried, same was ordered placed on file. On motion duly seconded & carried, Trustee Dale wa~ ex- cused for the balance of the e~ening. In Re- At the hour of ?:30 P. ~. No]person other ~outhern Pacific 0o. and 8outhern Pacific Railroad filed or presented any protest, or appeazed to protest or object to the proposed improvement or to the extent of the district. The Board of Trustees proceeded to hear and upon the said protest eo made and after due hearing and oo: eideration thereof the said protest was over-ruled'and' denied by the following vote:
