Franchise Tax In Re Tree Plemting in Parkings A communication from the Southern California F~laon Company regarding the eertice of the 46 Ornamental standartt~ on North Main Street in reference to how many of these lights to burn ~11 night, and the cation of same, was referred to a committee consistiz of Trustee Greenleaf, City Engineer Hoy and Electric Tnspeotor Decker, on motion of Trustee Tubbe duly seconded by Chapman and carried. An application from R. W. Williams & D. Biswae for permiaeinn to conduct a Laundry on a small scale at their private home, N. Flower Street. On motion of Trustee Tubbs duly seconded by Greenleaf and oar- tied, the matter was referred to a committee. Trusts, Tubbs and Greenle~f being appointed ae such com- mittee. In th~matter of the application of the Nioholl-toomil Company for permission to use a small amount of pow- der to blow out a cement base at the corner of ~nd and Broadway was granted on motion of Trustee Chap- man du2y seconded by Dele and carried, under the supervision of A. E.. Mawlay and the Nioholl-Loomis Company -ho are to he held for any damages caused by same. Astatement from the ?stifle Tel. & Tel. Company accompanied ~y a voucher for $1,g32.13 franchise tax for the year ending Aughst 19th, ~921, was a~cep~ ed on motion of Trustee Tuhbs duly seconded by Greem~ leaf and carried, and the Clerk instructed to depos- it same with the Treasurer to the credit of the General Fund.
