V:30 P.M. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Tubbs, seconded by Greenleaf end <br /> <br />carried, request of Mexican Colony, representing <br />International Lodge No. 1102 of the Fraternal A~ <br /> <br />Union for permission to use Birch Park in celebrating <br /> <br />Mexican National~oliday May Sth, was granted. <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chapman, seconded by Tubbs and <br />carried, proposed sewer line right of way lease <br />across Pacific Electric tracks at 5th & Hawley Street <br />~s submitted by the Pacific Electric Company, was <br />referred to the City Engineer and Water Superlntenden~ <br /> <br />A communication was presented with reference to <br />remently installed trash receptacles, asking that <br />cormnercial advertising be eliminated therefrom. On <br />moti on of Trustee Tubbs, seconded by Dale and <br />carried, communication was referred to the Board as <br />a whole. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dale, duly seconded by Greenleaf <br />and carried, petitions for paving of Second Street <br />between Baker and Artesia, Grand Avenue between 1st <br />and 4th Sts., Second Street between Grand Ave. and <br />MoClay and Third Street bet~een Grand Ave and McCla~ <br />were referre~ to the City Engineer for checking. <br /> <br />Oh motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Dele <br />and carried, bonds of Orange County Engineer Company <br />for sewer work and of Geo. E. Shoebridge for plumbing <br />were referred to the Chair for approval or disapprova~ <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Greenleaf duly seconded by Dale <br />and carried, Union Metal standards were adopted for <br />lights to be installed on West Fourt and East and We~ <br />Fifth Streets, and the ~ngineer instructed to prepar~ <br />plans and specifications therefor. <br /> <br />A ~tit~mn was presented asking for paving of 18th St. <br />between Broadway and Eucalyptus Street. Bn motion of <br /> <br />Trustee Greenleaf, seconded by C~aoman and carried, <br />same was refer~ed to the Engineer for checking. <br /> <br /> <br />
