Board met in regular adjourned session. Meetinm called to order by the Clerk. Present: Trustees C.H. Chapman, Geo. McPhee, E. B. Collier, Nat H. Neff. Absent: Trustee J. W. Tubba. In the absence of President Tubbs, on motion of Trustee Neff, seconded by Collier and carried, Trustee Chapman was elected Presldent Pro Tam. Minutes of previous meetings read and approved. On motion of Trustee Neff, seconded by Collier and carried, application of James W. ~yan for ~rmlssion to ~onduct lunch room at 17~G West Fifth ~treet was referred to the Police Committee. A coz~munication from A. A. Brock, County ~orticultursl Commissioner, ~ranting permission to discontinue cooking of garbage was read. On motion of Trustee McPhee, secon( by Neff and carried, communication wss accepted and On motion of Trustee McPhee, seconded by Neff and carrie application of Wm. H. Gagen, business manager MissiOn Pageant et Capistrano, for ~rmission to ~e~ct banners at 8th & Main, 4th and French, 4th & Ross and let & Main advertising pageant to be g~ven S~ring October, was under supervision of Building ~nspeotor. A petition was p~esented asking that West Second .Street be poste~ against heavy traffic . On motion of Trustee Neff, ~econd~d.by Collier ~nd carried, si~ed were posted prohibiting heavy traffic thereon. On motion of Trustee Neff, seconded by McPhee and car~ie~ reports of various city ~ficere were referred to the Finance Committee. On motion of T~uatee Neff, seeonded~ the Clerk was instructed to d~aw warrants covering demands as audited by finance committee, with exception of two bills questioned.
