On motion of Trustee Neff, seconded by Collier and carried, petition for i~provement of Van Ness Avenue from First to Fourth Street was referred to the Engines~ for checking. A number of were before residents ~n vicinity of 1st and Lacy Sis. the Board ~otesting against the operation of Pickwick Stage ~epa~r shop near that location. On motion of Trustee Collier, seconded by ~cPhee ~d carried, City Attorney was instructed to take necessary steps toward declaring operation of above rep ir shop nuisance. Mr. I. W. Bsquette was before the Board requesting permission to lease lot own e~ by the City andlocated at ew~utheast corner Washington and Poinsettia Streets. On motion of Trustee Collier, seconded by Neff and carried, matter of widening of Fruit Street was referre, back to the ~nrineer to s acute deeds which will be acceptable to the Board with reference to width. On motion of Trustee Neff, se~nde~.by McPhee and carried, application of E. R. Cooper for permission to paint no parking space near his restaurant st 6th and Main Streets was denied. On motion of Trustee Collier, seconded by Neff and carried, Building Inspector was authorized to purchase typewriter and book necessar~ to han~e his accounts. On motion of Trustee Collier, seconded by Neff and carried, City Engineer and Street Superintendent was at instructed to eabmit to the Board/next meeting his recommendation of plan for disposal of trash~ he was also instructed to confer with Dr. Price informing himi that the Board desires a written proposition with reference to purchase or lease of portion of sewer fart~.
