Fair <br /> <br />The communication from the Pacific Coast Fire Chi%f~s <br />Association, asking that the Fire Chief attend the Con- <br />vention at Seattle, Washington, September 21st-24th <br />inclusive, was read and on motion of Trustee Chapman <br />duly seconded by Purinton and carried action on toques <br />was deferred to next Finance Meeting. <br /> <br /> A request from the Orange County Fair Publicity Depart <br /> ment,asklng for permission to hang banners near the <br /> intersection of 4th and Ross Streets and '?th and Main <br /> Streets for at least thirty days before the opening of <br /> the Fair Ssptember 22nd and guaranteeing to remove <br /> them promptly at the close of the Fair, was granted <br /> on motion of Trustee ~urinton seconded by Collier and <br /> <br />carried. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Permit of VanDien- <br /> <br />Young Co. -Gas Tank <br /> <br /> In Re <br /> <br />Permit S.J. Hales <br />Salem Stables <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Application <br /> <br />H.I.Rodle Lunch Stand <br /> <br /> In He <br />Electric Signs <br />F.L Besser, etal <br /> <br />Application of VanDien-Young Company for permission to <br />install a 550 gallon gasoline tank underground in thei <br />yard was granted under the supervision of Fire Chief <br />on motion of Trustee Purinton seconded by Chapman and <br />carried. <br /> <br />Application of S.J. Hales for permission to erect a <br />horse and mule sales and rental barn West of the Paci- <br />fic Electric Railway Track, north side of West Fifth <br />Street, was granted on motion of Trustee Purinton <br />seconded by Collier and carried, with the understand- <br />ing that barn be painted and kept in good condition. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Collier duly seconded by Chapman <br />and carried, the application o~ H.I. Rodle to conduc~ <br />a lunch stand on Fifth Street near the F,ir Grounds <br />duping Fair week was denied. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Collier seconded by Chapman and <br />carried, permission to hang electric signs was granted <br />to F.L. Besser, 404 N. Main Street; Spencer Collins, <br />205 W. 4th Street; Simons Barber Shop, 412 N. Sycamore <br /> <br /> <br />
