On motion of Trustee Purinton, seconded by Chapman and carried, matter of police protection at Dance Hall at 116~ East Third St. was referred to ~e Police Committee. On motion of and carried, T~ustee NcPhee, seconded by Chapman Po]ice Chief was authorized to pur- chase mimeograph machine for Police Department. On motion of Trustee Chapman, seconded by Purinton and carried, permission was granted for cutting curb on East 1st St. and on Spurgeon St. as per plat presented to the Board; cutting of curb to be t~der su~rvi~on of Street Department. On motion of Trustee Chapman, seconded by Purinton and ca~ried, a Co~mnittee was appointed to confer with proprietor of junk yard at 5th & Hawley Sts. to see that proper sheds and fence to enclose business are constructed in compliance with permit granted May llth. were appointed as Trustees Purinton and Ch~ man such Committee. A number of property owners, in Country Club Gardens appeared before the Board and requested advice with reference proper steps to be taken to be annexed to the City. They were advised to present petition to t~e Board of Trustees and have legal representative confer with City Attorney with reference^annexation. Trustee Purinton introduced a resolution approving assessment diagram for work done and improvement made on South Olive St. and Borchard Avenue, in accordance with Resolution of Intention Nc.la04. The resolution was ordered filed, read, con- sidered, designated Resolution No.1558 and ~ ssed by the following vote: Ayes~ Trustees C.U.Chapm~n, Geo.~cPhee, E.B.Collier, F.L.Purinton. ~Noes: Tz~stees N°ne''''Absent:Trustee Tubbs.
