Mr. Grigsby recalled first paving of E. 1st Street end stated that he remembered the City had a~reed to put in rock and oil Nothin~ srpears in the minutes of the Board with reference'to ~y a~reement and Mr. Tubbs expl~ned that any former ,greement would have no effect upon the present paving program. Mr. Tubbs also s th, t the CZty expects to stand ar~roximately 9~,00~ in repaying cf East 1st Street from Main to City Limits, which amount will more tb,n make up dlff, rence in cost of 8" and 8" p~vin~. On motion of and carried, Trustee ~urlnton, seconded by 6hspman the City Engineer was instructed to prepare olans and specifications for ~vlng the following streets: Walnut St. from Flm, er to Patton Streets. Waln,~ St. from Birch to Main Street. Patton S~r~et from Walnut to First St. Pine Street from Ross to Main Street. Chestnut St. from Ross to Sycamore St. Cam~]e St. from F3ower to Or, ge Ave. Bishop St. from Flower to 0ren;e Ave. R~chland St. from Flower St. to Van Ness Ave. RiChland St. from Flower to Main St. Cubbon St. from Swcamore St. to 0range Ave. On motion of Trustee Chaoman, seconded by NcPhee and carried, ~IV,O00 was ordered transferred from the Water Fund to the General Fund. On mot ion of and carried, Trustee Wurlnton, seconded by Chapman $1~,000 was ordered transferre~ from tbs General Fund to the Fire Fund. . ~bis bein~ the time and place for opening bids for ~rnlshi~ the City of Santa Aha with hay, and the Board of Trustees being now in session, proceed- ed to open examine and declare all bids received. 0nly one bid was received, being th, t of the Riverside A~falfa Growers Association who bid as follows: 4O 10 tons barley hay @ $28.50 per ton delivered.
