335 <br /> <br />The Board met in pursuance to a special call issued <br />by the President, for the purpos~of adopting <br />certain resolutions in connection with the Joint <br />Outfall Sewer and considering matters pertaining to <br />lighting district in the Southeastern part of the <br />City, and for those purposes only. <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order by President Purinton. <br /> <br />Present: <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Trustees C.H.Chapman, Geo. McPhee, <br /> Stanley E. Goode, F.L.Purinton. <br /> <br />Trustee E. B. Collier. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />~esolution No. 1V10 <br /> <br />Repair of Outfall Sewer <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Employment of <br /> <br />Engineers. <br /> <br />Santa Ana City Hall. <br /> <br />December 13th, 1926. 2.30 P. M. <br /> <br />Trustee Chapman introduced a resolution entitled as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> "A resolution by the Board of Trustees of the City <br />of Santa Aha declaring that the protection of li~e <br />and health demands the immediate expenditure of public <br />money, directing the immediate doing of certain work, <br />obligating the City of Santa Aha to pay its proportionate <br />share thereof, and authorizing the delivery of contracts <br />concerning said emergency." <br /> <br /> The resolution was ordered filed, designated <br />Resolution No. l~lO, read and considered, and upon call <br />of the roll passed by the vote of the following named <br />members of the Board of Trustees: <br /> <br /> Roll Call: Ayes: Trustees C.H.Chapman, Geo. McPhee, <br /> Stanley E. Goode, F. L. Purinton. <br /> <br /> Noes: Trustees None. <br /> <br /> Absent: Trustee E. B. Collier. <br /> <br /> The resolution was thereupon signed and approved by <br /> the President of the Board of Trustees and attested <br /> by the Clerk. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Chapman, seconded by Trustee Goode <br /> and upon call of the roll carried by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes: Trustees C.H.Chapman, Geo. McPhee, <br /> Stanley E. Goode, F. L. Purinton. <br /> <br /> Noes: Trustees None. <br /> <br /> Absent: Trustee E. B. Collier- <br /> <br /> It was ordered that Burns-McDonnell-Smith Engineering <br /> Company be employed, authorized and directed to prepare <br /> all necessary specifications and to superintend, control <br /> and direct the restoration and repair of the ruptured <br /> and destroyed portion of the outfall sewer, and to <br /> receive therefor the actual engineering cost plus S0% <br /> thereof~ <br /> <br /> They to act in conjunction with O. E. Steward, the <br /> maintenance engineer of the Outfall Sewer. <br /> <br /> <br />
