Elec. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />Lana Contracting Co. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Resolution No. 1850 <br />Abandoning Proceedings <br />Southwest Sewer District. <br /> <br />129 <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Knox and car- <br />ried, the matter of defraying expenses for the emplo <br />merit of independent engineers to represent Santa Aha <br />and other municipalities in connection w~h the appli <br />cation of the Pacific Electric Railway CompanN to <br />increase passengerfares, was referred to the City <br />Manager. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Knox and <br />carried, the Clerk was instructed to advertise for <br />bids to lease sewer farm for a period of three years, <br />commencing January 1st, 1928, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Knox, seconded by Kelly m~d car <br />tied, the Clerk and President of the City Council <br />were authorized to enter into an agreement of purchas <br />or lease covering automatic electric equipment, in- <br />cluding installation, for the Sixth and Olive Streets <br />Water PlanS, as reco~mnended by the City Manager. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Knox, seconded by Kelly and car- <br />ried, the City Engineer was instructed to prepare <br />plans and specifications for the paving of Grand Ave- <br />nue from First to Fourth Streets with a mix inch <br />Asphaltic pavement. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Goode and <br /> carried, pending appointment of Building Inspector, <br /> W. O. Packard was appointed Building Inspector tempo- <br /> rarily. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Goode~ seconded by Knox and car- <br /> ried, the matter of the Pacific Electric Company's <br /> bus franchise on S. Main Street was referred to the <br /> City Attorney for action; William Wheelan havihg made <br /> a protest a~ainst the bus driving on Sycamore Street. <br /> <br /> The communication from the Lana Contracting Company <br /> was read refusing to proceed under contract entered <br /> into for the work and improvement set forth in Reso- <br /> lution of Intentiom No. 1791 of the Southwest Sewer <br /> District No. 130. On motion of Trustee McBride, <br /> seconded by Goode and carried and by request of the <br /> Lana Contracting Company, it was decided to abandon <br /> proceedings on the Southwest Sewer District. <br /> <br /> A resolution of the City C~u.ue~l~of the City of Santa <br /> Aha abandoning and declaring null and void Resolution <br /> ~opting Plans and Specifications No. 1790, and <br /> <br /> <br />
