Following the <br />report, the City Council awarded the contract to the <br />Griffith Company as the lowest responsible bidder there- <br />for. A resolution was tntrodmced awarding the contract <br />to the Griffith Company. The resolution was ordered <br />filed, read, considered, designated Resolution No. 2122 <br />and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees J.L. McBride, W.J. Kelly, Stanley. E. <br /> Goode, F.L. Purinton. <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br />Absent, Trustees Homer C. Chaney. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />This being the time and place set forth in Resolution of <br />Intention No. 2113 to order the work and improvement made <br />upon and along a portion of Ross Street, and the City <br />Council being duly convened in open session, proceeded <br />to hear and pass upon all protests presented. <br /> <br />No owner of property liable to be assessed for said work <br />made written protest or any protest against the proposed <br />work or against the extent of the district to be assesse~ <br />therefor and no person appearing to protest or object or <br />show any cause why the improvement should not be carried <br />out in accordance with Resolution of Intention No. 2113, <br />the City Council deemed that it had acquired Jurisdictiox <br />to order the proposed improvement. <br /> <br /> A resolution was introduced ordering the work to be done <br /> and improvement made as briefly set out in Resolution of <br /> Intention No. 2113. The resolution was ordered filed, <br /> read, considered, designated Resolution Ordering Work <br /> No. 2123 and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, ~rustees J.L. McBride, W.J. Kelly, Stanley E. <br /> Goode, F.L. Purinton. <br /> <br /> Trustees None. <br /> <br /> Noes, <br /> <br />Absent, <br /> <br />Trustees Homer C. Chancy. <br /> <br />An Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance of the City of Santa Aha establishing <br />Set-Back Lines upon East Washington Avenue, upon both <br />sides of said street, from Lincoln Avenue to Grand <br />Avenue." <br /> <br />was introduced, read, considered and referred back to <br /> <br />the City Attorney. <br /> <br />An Ordinance entitled~ <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance of the City of Santa Ana, California, <br />fixing the amount of money ascertained to carry on the <br />various departments of the City of Santa Aha, and to pay <br />the bonded indebtedness falling due for the current year <br />1929-1930, and fixing the rate of taxation for the cur- <br />rent ~ear 1929-1930, designating the number of cents on <br />each $100.00 for the various funds of said city, on the <br />whole of the taxable property of said city as set by the <br />County Assessor ~f .the County of Orange, State of Cali- <br />fornia, and equalized by the Board of Supervisors of <br />said County, and hereby levied on the whole of the <br />Taxable Property of said city." <br /> <br /> <br />
