Santa Ana City Hall. <br />October 14th, 1929. <br /> <br />'7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />City Council met in regular adjourned session. <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor ?urinton. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees J.L. McBride, W.J. Kelly, <br />Homer C. Chaney, Stanley E. Goode, F.L. Purinton. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees None. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />Harrell & Brown. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Electric Signs. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />Met. Water District. <br /> <br />In Re <br />Application <br />for Re-zoning. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Application <br /> <br />Frank Nieblas. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Agreement <br /> <br />C.H. Ecklea. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McBride and car- <br />vied, the communication from Harrell & Brown Funeral <br />Home with reference to their ambulance was filed and <br />.the City Attorney instructed to get in communication <br />with them and make arra.ngements to h~e agreement signed <br />covering ambulance. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Chaney and car. <br /> vied, the applications of Cope Electric Company to hang <br /> electric sign for Robert R. Schilling at 410 N. Main <br /> Street and of Gilbert-Weston-Stearns Company to hang <br /> electric sign for Economy Shoe Store at 212 W. Fourth <br /> Street, were granted under supervision of Electrical <br /> Inspectc~. <br /> <br />02 motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Chansy and car- <br />ried, the communication from S.H. Finley, Secretary of <br />the Metropolitan Water District was accepted and copies <br />of Ordinance No. 5 creating the Office of Treasurer of <br />the District, presci, ibing the powers, duties and compen- <br />sation, were ordered posted in public places. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Gocde, seconded by Chaney and car- <br /> <br />vied, the applications of P. Ysais, Herb. Alleman and <br />F.A. Wasson for rezoning, were referred to the Planning <br /> <br />Commission for recommendations. <br /> <br />On motion of T~ustee Kelly, seconded by Goode and car- <br />ried, the application of Frank Nieblas to conduct a gos- <br />pel tent on the north side of Eighth Street between <br />Fairlawn and Artesia, was granted with the provision <br />that same complies with the inspection of the Sanitary <br />Inspector · <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Ooode, seconded by Chaney and car- <br />ried, the Mayor and Clerk were authorized to sign agree- <br />ment with Mr. C.H. Eckles of Whittier, covering the <br />operation of automobile busses in the City of Santa Aha. <br /> <br /> <br />
