Kelly, Homer C. <br /> Chaney, Stanley E. Ooode, F.L. ?urinton. <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br />Absent, Trustees None. <br /> <br />IN THE MATTER G~ ACQUISITION AND IMPROVE~ENT <br />DISTRICT NO. 4 OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING ACQUISITION <br /> AND IMPROVE~NT. <br /> No. 2148. <br /> <br /> Vdaereas, at the time, place and in the manner set forth <br /> in Resolution of IntentiOn No. £142, adopted by the City <br /> C~uncil of the City eT Santa Ana on the 4th day of Novem- <br /> ber, 1929, In the Matter of Acquisition and Improvement <br /> District No. 4 of the City of Santa Ana, a full, fair and <br /> impartial hearing was accorded all persons having any <br /> objections to ~hose things proposed to be done as set <br /> forth in said Resolution; and <br /> V~hereas, this City Council ~has adopted its Resolution <br /> passing upon all protests presented, both written and or~ <br /> and has made its determination as to the extent of the <br /> Assessment District, and the grades to which the contem- <br /> plated work and improvements are to b e constructed; and <br /> ~ereas, evidence has been received as to the publica- <br /> tion of said Resolution of Intention No. 2142, and the <br /> posting 9f Notice Of Public Improvement therein ordered <br /> posted, at the time and in the manner prescribed by law, <br /> and as to the necessity for the acquisitions and improve- <br /> ments contemplated, amd the benefits to b e derived there- <br /> from; <br /> Now, Ther~fore, Be It Resolved, by the City Council of <br /> the City of Santa Ana, that it is hereby found, determined <br /> and,ordered as follows: <br /> 1. That the said Resolution of Intention No. 2142, <br /> heretofore adopted on the 4th day of November, 19~9, has <br /> been duly and legally published as required by law, and <br /> that the Notice of Public Improvement therein directed to <br /> be posted has been duly and legally posted in the time, <br /> form, manner and number as required by law, and that all <br /> protests or objections presented have been disposed of in <br /> time, form aud manner as required jurisdiction to order <br /> the things proposed to be done, as set forth in said <br /> Resolution of Intention No. 214~. <br /> 2. That the public interest and necessity require, <br />and it is hereby ordered that the following acquisitions <br />for the opening of a street seventy (70) feet in width <br />lying Northeasterly of and immediately adjacent to the <br />.Southern Pacific Railroad Company's Right of Way, between <br />Main Street and Chapman Avenue in said City of Santa Ana, <br />together with the necessary parcels of land for slope <br />easements, revetment work and curves at certain street <br />intersections, said street to be known as and called <br />"Santa Ana Boulevard"; the extending of Broadway from the <br />present Northerly limits of said street, across the Sou- <br />thern Pacific Railroad Company's Right of Way, and con- <br />necting with the proposed Santa Ana Boulevard, together <br />with the necessary land for the curve at the intersection <br />of said Broadway with Santa Ana Boulevard, the widening <br />of Flower Street, between Santa Clara Avenue and Santa'Ana <br />Boulevard to make said street a uniform width of eighty <br />(80) feet, together with the necessary parcels of land for <br />curves at certain street intersections, all as set forth <br />and described in said Resolution of Intention No. 2142, <br />passed and adopted on the 4th day of November, 1929, and <br />in the specifications referred to, and 'that the property <br />necessary to be taken for such opening of Santa Ana Boule- <br />vard, extension of Broadway and widening of Flower Street, <br />and which is hereby ordered to be acquired therefor is <br />~that described in Section i of said Resolution of Intentt~ <br /> No. 2142 <br /> <br /> <br />
