Clegg. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelly, seconded by Goode and car- <br />ried, the application of Jno. P. Clegg to install a <br /> <br />550 gallon underground gasoline tank at his place of <br />business, 1901 W. SchonherEer for Cement Sidewalk <br />and Curb Work were referred to the Chair for approval <br />or disapproval. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelly, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the warrant of the Southern Counties Gas Company <br />of California in amount of $3,267.31 6overing franchise <br />for year ending December 31st, 1928, was accepted and <br />the Clerk instructed to deposit same with Treasurer. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McBride and car- <br />tied, the application of i~omas Richards for permit to <br />erect a combination warehouse and dwelling on Artesia <br />Street, south of Pine Street, was denied in view of <br />protests presented by residents in the vicinity. <br /> <br />On motion ~f Trustee Kelly, seconded by Goode and car- <br />ried, F. A. Hantsbarger was appointed Police Officer <br />of the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />This being the time and place set for opening bids for <br />the construction of a Fire Hall on North Sycamore Street <br />and the City Council being in open session proceeded to <br /> <br />open bids as follows: <br /> <br />Wm.
