V:30 P.M. <br /> <br />City Council met in regular adjourned session. <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Purinton. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees J.L. McBride, W.J. Kelly, <br />Homer C. Chancy, Stanley E. Goode, F.L..Furinton. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees None. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Electric Sign. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Application <br /> <br />Perry Ballard. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Demands. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />C~amunication <br /> <br />Rall~ C. Drake. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Application <br /> <br />Nazarene Church. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Goode and car- <br />ried, the application of the Cope Electric Company for <br />permission to erect and connect two additions to present <br />Schram-Johnson Drugs sign, was granted under supervision <br />of the Electric Inspector. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Ooode, seconded by Chancy and car- - <br />tied, the application of Perry Ballard to rezone the <br />southwest corner of Sixth and Hawley Streets permitting <br />him to construct an office building and install a 20,000 <br />gal. gasoline storage tank, was referred to the Planning <br />.Commission. <br /> <br /> ,, <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and car- <br /> ried, the Clerk was instructed to draw two warrants in <br /> favor of the Chamber of Commerce in amounts of $289..38 <br /> and $75.00 from the Advertising Fund. <br /> <br /> . <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Chancy and <br />ried, the communication from Ralph C. ~medley offering <br />words of appreciation and congratulation to the_Council <br />with reference to the Wine Tonic Ordinance adopted, was <br />accepted and filed for future reference. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Kelly and car- <br /> ried, the communication of R. H. Drake, Supt. of Bldg_. <br /> and Grou~xls of Santa Aha Schools, regarding two story <br /> stucco frame s~hool building to be erected at Artesia <br /> Eighth Streets and with reference to Section 179 of the <br /> Building Ordinance, was referred to the City Attorney <br /> and Bmilding Inspector. <br /> <br />On motion' of Trustee Goode, seconded by Chaney and car- <br />ried, the application of R. H. Drake on behalf of the <br />Board of Education for permission to buy four parcels of <br />land for school purposes, was referred to the Planning <br />Commission. ~ <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the protests filed against the erection of a <br />building at the southeast corner cf Broadway and Bishop <br /> <br /> <br />
