Lumber Company and hearing date set August 5th. <br /> <br />A petition was filed with a total of ?2.25% for the <br />paving cf N. Flower Street between Seventeenth and Kant <br />Clara. ~nmotion of Trustee Goede, seconded by Kelly <br />and carried, the City Engineer was instructed to prepar <br />plane and specifications for the paving of N. Flower <br />Street between Seventeenth and Santa Clara with a six <br />inch Portland Cement Concrete Pavement. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the application of the Spurgeon Memorial M.E. <br />Church South to construct a stucco building Just north <br />of the Spurgeon Memorial M.E. Church South on Broadway, <br />was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Tx-astee McBride, seconded by Kelly and ca,- <br />tied, the recc~,mendation of the Manager was accepted <br />and McClay Street south from First Street to the City <br />Limits was ordered graded and resurfaced, cost not to <br />exceed $1800.00. <br /> <br />An Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance prohibiting the sale of wine tonics and <br />bitters in the City of Santa Ana, repealing all ordi- <br />nances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith and <br />providing penalties for the violation thereof." <br /> <br />was finally read, considered, designated Ordinance No. <br />885 and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Tr~Astees J.L.
