Fourth St. <br /> <br />On motion of T~ustee Goode, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the report of the Health Department for the month <br />of July was referred to the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and car- <br />ried, the petition of property owners in the Country <br />Club Gardens requesting curbs to be installed, was refer- <br />red to the Engineer to check and report back in one week <br /> <br />A petition signed by property owners in the southeast <br />section of the City recently annexed, was presented re- <br />questing that they be allowed to retain the South Main <br />Mutual Water Company system intact and use the water, <br />making it ~muecessary to install a new city water system <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and car- <br />ried, the petition was referred to the Water Department <br />to check and report back. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Goode and car- <br /> <br />Pied, the protest of merchants on East Fourth Street <br /> <br />relative to nuisance created by loiterers near the <br />Athletic Club conducted by Ray Foust at 215 E. Fourth <br /> <br />Street, was referred to the Chief of Police. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the petition of property owners requesting the <br />establishment of a ten foot set back line on E. Washing- <br />ton Avenue betWeen Main and Lincoln Streets, was referre~ <br />to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and car- <br />ried, the recommendation of Planning Commission was <br />accepted that the application of Sam Jones to erect a <br />four family apartment at VlO Cypress Avenue'was approved <br />for ~osting and also that the 700 block on Cypress Avenu~ <br />on both sides of street be posted for rezoning to apart- <br />ments and cou~tSe Hearing date set August Z6th, 1929. <br /> <br />Mr. Lake pepreSenting the Orange County Fair A~sociation <br />appeared before the Council requesting a donation of <br />$1000.00 to be used for hiring a band. On motion of <br />Trustee Kelly, seconded by McBride and carried, the re- <br />quest was taken under advisement. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the Engineer was instructed to prepare plans and <br />specifications for the extension of West Fourth Street <br /> <br /> <br />
