Eckles for permission to <br />operate four taxis in connection with his bus service, <br />unless the ordinance is enforced pertaining to group <br />pick-up, was taken under advisement. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Goods and car- <br />ried, the application of ?~dwin P. Elliott, Proprietor of <br />the Star Taxi-cab Company, to all°w one taxi-cab to <br /> <br />stand on Sycamore Street ~ear the Rossmore Hotel, with <br /> attached <br />petition/Of mercha~nts in the vicinity of said location <br /> <br />favoring the application, was taken under advisement <br />for one week. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Sutton, s~conded by Kelly and car- <br />ried, application of electrical contractors to hang <br />electric signs, were granted under supervision of the <br />Electrical Inspector as follows: <br /> <br /> Orange County Hardware Co. 309 N. Broadway <br /> Broadway Billards 310} N. Brmadway <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelly, seconded by Sutton and car- <br />ried, the ~ond of John C. Davidson for Cement Sidewalk <br />and Curbing in amount of $800.00 was referred to the <br />Chair for approval or disapproval. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and car- <br />ried, the Mayor and Clerk were instructed to sign a re- <br />quest to the Board of Supervisors for the cancellation <br />taxes in amount of $142.3V on property now owned by the <br />City and described as follows: "3.37 acres is Section <br />12-S-10 bounded on the North by Eighth Street and on the <br />West by Olive Street". <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelly, seconded by Good~e and car- <br />ried, the application of Earl Ruddy, Manager of the <br /> <br />Business Men~s Asso$iation, <br />ornamental light standards <br />Christmas Tree decorations, <br /> <br />for permission to use the <br />in the business district for <br />was granted. <br /> <br />Petitions signed by residents and parents of Santa A~a <br />urging the City Council and Planning Commission to grant <br />the School Board permission to purchase the property <br /> <br /> <br />
