Purinton. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the property at the southwest corner of Ross and <br />Fairview was ordered posted for special uses, without <br />c.harge, and hearing date set December 1st in accordance. <br />with the appliOation of Isador Fields to build a duplex. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the application of C. H. Eckles to conduct a taxi- <br />cab business in connection with his bus service, was <br />again taken under advisement. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelly, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, Mayor F. L. Purinton was granted a thirty day <br />leave of absence from the state. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Petition for <br /> <br />Repairs of Gloryetta Streets. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Sutton and car- <br />ried, the petition of property owners and residents in <br />Gloryetta requesting that the streets,which were torn up <br />in the installation of sewer and water mains, be repaire~ <br />was taken under advisement. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Assessments <br /> <br />S. Se~er Dist. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the Chair was authorized to appoint a committee to <br />investigate the validity of sewer assessments in the <br />Southeast Sewer District. Trustee Kelly was appointed <br />as a committee of one to inves+~igate. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Pine Trees <br /> <br />Sixteenth Street. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Goode and car- <br />ried, the Street Superintendent was instructed to have <br />pine trees cut on Sixteenth Street between Main and <br />Spurgeon Street. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Plans & Spec. <br /> <br />Partial Separation of <br /> <br />Grades on E. Fourth St. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Sutton and car- <br /> <br />tied, the following minute resolution was adopted: <br /> <br /> Whereas, the public interest and necessity require the <br /> improvements hereinafter set forth: <br /> Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved: That Clyde L. Jenken, <br />City Engineer of the City of Santa Aha, is hereby appoin- <br />ted and designated and directed to prepare and furnish <br />specifications for a partial separation of grades by the <br />construction of an underpass under the Atchison, Topeka <br />and Santa Fe Railroad Companyls and the Southern Pacific <br />Railroad Company's tracks, respectively, on East Fourth <br />Street, and the construction of a storm drain on Santa Fe <br />Street between First Street and Fourth Street necessar~ <br />to accomplish said purpose. Said specifications to in- <br />clude all plans and profiles, cross-sections and specifi- <br />cations necessary for the improvements, together with a <br />map or plat showing the same, and a statement of the <br />estimated cost of the same (inclusive of incidental <br />expenses and costs of the proceeding), and also a descri <br />tion of the district to be benefited by the proposed <br />improvement and to be known as the Assessnent District , <br />and a map or plat showing the same, and also the differ- <br />ent zones within said district, cont&ining the lands to <br />be benefited in a like measure but in a different measure <br />from those in other zones therein, w~th a statement as to <br />what percentage of the sum to be raised each year for the <br />payments on the principal and interest of the bonds shall <br />be raised from each zone, exclusive of the percentage of <br />the total cost and expense of said improvement to be paid <br /> <br /> <br />
