Chatlain and Lulu B. <br />Chatlain agreeing to execute a deed to the City ~c~ering <br />a parcel of land at the corner of Santa Clara Avenue and <br />Bush Street, for street purposes, was accepted and the <br />City Attorney instructed to appoint appraiser for the <br />City to fix valuation of proper~y involved. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Plans & Spec. <br /> <br />Acquisition, Opening <br /> <br />& Widening Portions--Flower St. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Sutton and car- <br /> <br />tied,, Clyde L. Jenken, City Engineer, is hereby <br /> <br />ted and directed to prepare and furnish specifications <br /> <br />for the proposed acquisition, opening and widening of <br /> <br />portions of Flower Street, between Walnut Street and <br /> <br />Seventeenth Street, as hereinafter described, said speci- <br /> <br />fications to include descriptions of all property to be <br /> <br />acquired, together with a map or plat showing the same, <br /> <br />and containing the lands to be benefited by said acquisi- <br /> <br />tions, and a map or plat thereof showing the same, and <br /> <br />containing the lands to be benefited in like measure, but <br /> <br />in a different measure from those in other zones therein, <br /> <br />with a statement as to what percentage of the sum to be <br /> <br />raised each year for the payments on the principal and <br /> <br />interest of the bonds should be raised from each zone; <br /> <br />the said district to be known as "Acquisition and Improve <br /> <br />merit District No. 10 of the City of Santa Ana". <br /> <br /> The acquisition of the necessary parcels of land to <br />widen Flower Street to a variable width from a point <br />forty feet South of the South line of First Street to a <br />point forty feet North of the North line of First Street, <br />being the acquisition of the f~llowing described parcels <br /> of land to-wit: <br /> A portion of the following described parcel of ~and; <br /> the North 128 feet of the following described property; <br /> Beginning at a point on the North line of Lot 1 in Block <br /> P of the Hail Tract, as per map thereof recorded in <br />Book 23, Page 28 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles <br />County, California, said point being 13.5 feet West of <br />the Northeast corner of said Lot 1; running thence West <br />along the North line of Lots 1 and 2 in said Block "P" <br />50 feet; thence South 270 feet through said Lot 2 and <br />Let 23 to a point on the ~outh line of said Lot 23 which <br />is 12.92 feet West of the Southeast corner of said Lot <br />23; thence East along the South line of said Lot 23 and <br />Lot 24 of said Block "P" 50 feet to a point which is dis- <br />tant 12.92 feet West of the Southeast corner of said Lot <br />24; thence North 270 feet to the place of beginning and <br />more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a <br />point in the Northerly line of said Lot 1, said point <br />being distant 13.71 feet Easterly from the Northwesterly <br />corner thereof; thence Easterly along the Northerly line <br />of said Lot 1 to an intersection with the Westerly line <br />of Flower Street; thence Southerly along the Westerly <br />line of Flower Street 40.00 feet to a point; thence <br />Northwesterly along a curve tangent to said Westerly <br />line of Flower Street and whose radime is 67 feet a dis- <br />tance of 31.5V feet to a point of compound curve; thence <br /> <br /> <br />
