Main Street, was granted under <br />supervision of the Electrical Inspector. <br /> <br />Written protests were presented by the Atchison, Topeka <br />and Santa Fe Railway Company, Bart Lumber Company and <br />others against the grades to which it is proposed to <br />be constructed on East Fourth Street as set forth in <br />Resolution of Intention No. 2260 of the City of Santa Ana <br />Oral pretests against the improvements were also heard. <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Goode and car- <br />ried, the hearing on a partial separation of grades on <br />East Fourth Street, was continued to January 5th, 1931, <br />and protests were referred to the Engineer for checking <br />to report back. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Kelly and car- <br /> <br />ried, the Mayor and Clerk were instructed to sign agree- <br /> A. Clayton and <br />ment with/the Automobile Club of Southern California, <br /> <br />a Corporation, relative to the construction of an electri <br />sign upon :property at the southeast corner of Eighth and <br />Main Streets, which extends over the ten foot set-back <br />line established by Ordinance on North Main Street. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the application of C. Ashley Knowlton for permissio~ <br />to conduct a new and used clothing store at 107 North <br />Broadway, was denied. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Goode and car- <br />ried, the application of Dr. W. F. Kistinger for permis- <br />sion to conduct his office in a residence at 209 Cypress <br />Avenue, was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Goode and car- <br />ried, the Clerk was authorized to draw a warrant in <br />amount of $142.00 to be placed in escrow at the Orange <br />County Title Company covering referees' appraisal of dama <br />on prop~erty at the southwest corner of Bush and Santa <br />Clara; warrant to be given property owner, Charles E. <br />C~hatlain and Lulu B. Chatlain when clear deed is given <br />to,the City. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Sutton and car- <br />ried, the Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids on <br />booster pump for Water Department according to plans and <br /> <br /> <br />
