On motion of Trustee Witmer, seconded by <br /> <br />McBride and carried, the petition was referred to Trustee <br /> <br />HasenJaeger for investigation. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- <br />ried, the following bonds were referred to the Chai~ for <br /> <br />approval or disapprovall <br /> <br />Oilchrist & Hatch <br />DeWitt Dudley <br />Josephine Smith <br />Janey Lowry <br /> <br />Cement Work <br />Street Supt. <br />Cashier <br />Assessment Clerk <br /> <br />$ 500.00 <br />3000.00 <br />1000.00 <br />1000.00 <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by HasenJaeger and <br />carried, the com~munication of the Good Government and <br />Economy League,opposing ~he' request of the local Chamber <br />of Comerce for an appropriation of $8,422.00 towards <br />expenses of the Chamber, believi~ that it would be <br />unwise from the average tax payers point of view at <br />this time, was referred to the Finance Con~nittee. <br /> <br />On .motion of Trustee HasenJaeger~ seconded by McBride and <br />carried, the Chair was authorized to appoint a committee <br />to meet with a representative of the Atchison, Topeka & <br />Santa Fe Railway Company for the investigation ,f the <br />Railway Oompanyts application to remove the crossing <br />gates at the grade crossing of East Fourth Street and <br />it tracks in the City and to substitute two Standard #3 <br />wigwags. Trustee HasenJaeger and Warner appointed as <br />the cormnittee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- <br />vied, the sum of $2000.00 from the General Fund was <br />appropriated to Summer Playgrounds on condition that the <br />Board of Education appropriate the same amount. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the matter of abandoning a certain twelve foot <br />alley running Easterly and Westerly through Tract No.210, <br />from Shelton Street to Baker Street, was referred to Trus <br />tee HasenJ aeger. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- <br />ried, the Mayor and Clerk were authorized to sign agree- <br />ment with the Southern Pacific Company Covering the <br />installation of a twelve inch cast iron water main under <br />their tracks between Santiago and Poinsettia Streets on <br />Sixth Street. <br /> <br /> <br />
