Plan. <br /> <br />qommission. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 944 <br /> Slot Machines. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Witmer and car- <br />ried, the property at the corner of Stafford and Garfield <br />Streets was ordered posted for special uses and the hear- <br />ing date set July 27th, 1931, in compliance with the <br />application of St. Josephts Catholic Church to erect a <br />Convent. <br /> <br />Protests were heard of property owners against the erec- <br />tion of a church building ~at 1715 W. Fifth Street by the <br />Roman Catholic Church. On motion of Trustee McBride and <br />seconded by Witmer and carried, the protest of property <br />owners was referred to the Planning Commission for <br />recomme~dati on. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- <br />ried, the application of Wm. H. Wol~laston for permission <br />to erect a lath and glass house at 2025 N. Main Street <br />~as referred to the Planning Commission for <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- <br />ried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was <br />accepted and the application of Wm. H. Wollaston was <br />granted. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Witmer and car- <br />ried, the aEreement with R. F. Goudey, covering services <br />as Engineer at the Joint 0utfall Sewer, salary of $37.50 <br />per month, was approved and the Mayor and Clerk were <br />authorized to sign same. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- <br /> <br />tied, the City Attorney was authorized to employ special <br /> if necessary at a reasonable salary <br /> counsel/for research work in connection with suit filed <br /> <br />by H.T.. Foust against Chief of Police Howard and suit <br />filed by the City against the County of Orange for delin- <br />quent taxes · <br /> <br />The motion of Trustee Witmer~to fix the salary of the <br />secretary of the Planning Commission at $28.00 a month, <br />not receiving a second, Mayor Knox requested Trustee <br />Warner to take the Chair. Mayor Knox then seconded the <br />motion and it was lost when Trustee McBride questioned <br />the fact that an Ordinance was in effect fixing the <br />of the Secretary of the Planning Commission at $50.00 a <br />month; question was referred to the Attorney to investiga <br /> <br /> An Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance repealing Section 92-A of Ordinance No. <br /> <br /> <br />
