K. Conrad to take care o£ and <br />clean the two acres on N. Flower Street known as Scout <br />Camp for the right to live there and raise garden truck, <br />was referred to the Purchasing Agent to consult with the <br />Orange County Council of Boy Scouts. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Witmer and car- <br />ried, the application of St. Josephs Catholic Church for <br />permit to erect a Convent on the corner of Garfield and <br />Stafford Streets was referred to the Planning Co~nnission <br />for recommendation. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, sec G~ded by Witmer and <br />carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission <br />was accepted and the application of St. Josephs Catholic <br />Church was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and <br />carried, the City Attorney was instructed to request the <br />City Attorney of Pasadena to meet with the City Council <br />at his convenience, for further discussion of Boulder <br />Dam Power. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Hasenjaeger and <br />carried, the Engineer was instructed to prepare plans <br />and specifications for the improvement o~ W. Seventeenth <br />Street betwee~ Main and Flower Streets and of Eucalyptus <br />Street between Seventeenth and Nineteenth Streets, accord <br />ing to p~tition presented. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Warner and <br />carried, the property located 222 feet East of McClay <br />Street on the north side of First Street with a frontage <br />of 248 feet was ordered posted for neighborhood business <br />and special use in accordance with the application of the <br />Modernistic Motor Lodge Corp. for permission to build a <br />Motor Lodge and Service Station. Hearing date was set <br />for August 10th, 1931. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by HasenJaeger and <br />carried, the application of the Roman Catholic Ch~rch <br />to erect a church building at 1715 West Fifth Street was <br />denied on recommendation of the Planning Commission and <br />protests were approved by a majorit~ <br /> <br /> <br />
