Santa Aha City Hall. December 1Vth, 1934. 7:30 P.M. City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Warner. Present: Trustees A.F.LeGaye, Fred C. Rowland, N.H. Penn, Plummet W. Bruns, E.G. Warner. Absent: Trustees None. Minutes of meetings of December 3rd, 10th and 1Vth, 1934, were approved as read. In Re Communication Mrs. Horace Scott. In Re Application F. Carl Mock. In Re Taxicab Drivers. In Re Map Tract #9V8. In Re Midget Auto Races. In Re Taxicab Driver. In Re Report of Mrs. Dorothy M. Russick. On motion of Trustee Rowland, seconded by Bruns and carried, the~ communication of Mrs. Horace Scott expressing apprecia- tion for the privilege of using the Bowers Museum for the meeting of the Orange County branch of American Association of University Women, was received and filed. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, the application of Carl Mock for the rezoning of property at 911 W. Fourth Street to allow the apartment house at said location to be used for a general hospital, was referred to the Planning $ommission. Application was withdrawn for the reason that hospital building requires a Class A or B building and the building in place ia a Class D building. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, and on recommendation of the Taxicab Commission, the appli- cations of William J. Cathcart and Raymond Bock for permis- sion to drive taxicabs, were granted. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Rowland and carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was accepted and tentative Map of Tract #978, being a reversion of acreag was approved. On motion of Trustee Rowland, seconded by Bruns and carried the request of J.B. Castiex on behalf of the American for permission to lease the municipal bowl for Midget Attto Races for the crming year, was granted. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, the application of Ilard Runyon for permission to drive a taxicab, was granted on rec~m~endation of the Taxicab Oommis sion. . Mrs. Dorothy M. Russick, policewoman, reported on her work and conditions at the public dance hall in Santa Ar~ stating that there was considerable noise from automobiles in the
