Santa Aha City Hall. <br /> <br />December 1Vth, 1934. 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />City Council met in regular session. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Warner. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees A.F.LeGaye, Fred C. Rowland, <br />N.H. Penn, Plummet W. Bruns, E.G. Warner. <br /> <br /> Absent: Trustees None. <br /> <br />Minutes of meetings of December 3rd, 10th and <br /> 1Vth, 1934, were approved as read. <br /> <br /> In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />Mrs. Horace Scott. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Application <br /> <br />F. Carl Mock. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Taxicab Drivers. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Map Tract #9V8. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Midget Auto Races. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Taxicab Driver. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Report of <br /> <br />Mrs. Dorothy M. Russick. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Rowland, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the~ communication of Mrs. Horace Scott expressing apprecia- <br />tion for the privilege of using the Bowers Museum for the <br />meeting of the Orange County branch of American Association <br />of University Women, was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the application of Carl Mock for the rezoning of property <br />at 911 W. Fourth Street to allow the apartment house at said <br />location to be used for a general hospital, was referred <br />to the Planning $ommission. Application was withdrawn for <br />the reason that hospital building requires a Class A or B <br />building and the building in place ia a Class D building. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />and on recommendation of the Taxicab Commission, the appli- <br />cations of William J. Cathcart and Raymond Bock for permis- <br />sion to drive taxicabs, were granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Rowland and carried, <br />the recommendation of the Planning Commission was accepted <br />and tentative Map of Tract #978, being a reversion of acreag <br />was approved. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Rowland, seconded by Bruns and carried <br />the request of J.B. Castiex on behalf of the American <br />for permission to lease the municipal bowl for Midget Attto <br />Races for the crming year, was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the application of Ilard Runyon for permission to drive a <br />taxicab, was granted on rec~m~endation of the Taxicab <br />Oommis sion. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Mrs. Dorothy M. Russick, policewoman, reported on her work <br />and conditions at the public dance hall in Santa Ar~ stating <br />that there was considerable noise from automobiles in the <br /> <br /> <br />
