Marriott, Caretaker at <br /> salary or <br /> the Santa Ana Camp Grounds at Forest Home, requesting a/ <br /> <br />financial assistance in the upkeep of the Grounds during <br />the summer ~onths, was received and filed and the Clerk <br />instructed to advise Mr. Marriott that the 0ity has an <br /> <br /> agreement with him that does not stipulate a salary, and <br /> the City is living up to its part of the agreement. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Rowland, seconded by Penn and carrie( <br />the communication of Donald L. Winans, Major 185th Infan- <br /> <br />try thanking the Council for its support and cooperation <br />extended to Company "L", was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Rowland and car- <br />ried, the application of Paul La Prelle for permission to <br />conduct an auto paint shop in the driveway under a canvas <br />roof at 107 E. Walnut Street, was referred to the Plannin <br />Commis si on · <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motio <br />of Trustee Rowland, seconded by Bruns and carried, the <br />application of Paul La Prelle for auto painting shop was <br />referred to the Building Inspector; there being no change <br />in the zone. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the communication from the Pacific Coast Building Offi- <br />cials Confermnce with reference to their annual conferenc, <br />to be held in Pale Alto, August 7th to llth inclusive, <br />and urging the attendance of the Chief Building Inspector <br />was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Rowland an~ car~ <br />tied, the communication of the Plumbing Inspectors Asso- <br />ciation of California with reference to the Fifth Annual <br />Convention in the City of Stockton, October 12th and 13th <br />was received and filed. <br /> <br /> <br />
