APPROVED: On motion of Trustee Rowland, seconded by LeGaye and car- ried, the commnunication of Associated Chambers of Com- merce of Orange County with Resolution supporting the Elliott Plan attached, with reference to water conserva- tion, was referred to the City Attorney for investigation. ,, On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carrted, the application of Cham L. Coleman to use the storeroom located at Fourth and Birch Streets for his Gospel Mission was referred to the Police Commissioner and Chief of Police for investigation and report back. were presented. Initiative petitions/signed by approximately 3600 regis- tered qualified electors of the City of Santa Ana request- ing the City Council to repeal Ordinance No. 794 of the City of Santa Ana, providing for the levy and collection of a tax not exceeding twelve cents on each One Hundred Dollars, for the purpose of music and advertising, by submitting the repeal of Ordinance No. 794 to the vote of the people at a special election to be held August 28th, 19~4. On motion of Trustee Bruns, sec c~ded by Rowland and carried, the initiative petitions of registered voters were referred to the Clerk for checking. A Resolution entitled: "A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, determining that the public interest and necessity demand the procuring of funds for the purpose of invest- ment on the part of the City of Santa Aha in 1915 Street Improvement Bonds now delinquent and outstanding, obliga- tions of said City, and that the cost thereof would be too great to be paid out of the ordinary annual income and revenue of the Municipalit~? was finally read, considered, designated Resolution No. 2389 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees A. F. LeGaye, Fred C. Rowland, W. H. Penn, Plunnner W. Bruns, E. G. Warner. Noes, Trustees None. Absent, Trustees None.
