In Re Opinion on Legality of City Council. AFP ROVED: Mayor of the ~ity of S'anta On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, the City Attorney was requested to secure from 0~Melveny, Tuller & Myers, opinion as to whether the present City Council is a legally constituted body and also, if possi- ble, to secure an opinion from the Attorney General con- cerning the same question. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Rowland and car- ried, the City Council adjourned to Thursday, August 2nd, 1934, at 3:00 P.M., in the Council Chamber. City Sleek. Santa Ana City Hall. No. 2394 Calling Election Repeal of Ordinance No. A Resolution was introduced resolving that a special election be called for the people to vote upon the adopt- ion or rejection of an Ordinance repealing Ordinance No. 794, entitled, "An 0rdi nance of the City of Santa Ana, California, providing for the levy and collection of a tax not exceeding twelve cents on each One Hundred Dol- lars for the pUrpose of music and advertising purposes" and that the date of said special election, as aforesaid, be fixed for Monday, August 20th, 1934, and Resolution. No. 2391 is hereby repealed. The Resolution was read, con- sidered, designated Resolution No. 2394 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees A. F. LeGaye, Fred C. Rowland, W. H. Penn, Plummet W. B~uns, E. G. Warner. Noes, Trustees None. Absent, Trustees None.
