On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried,' Judge Mitchell,s report was On motion of Trustee Bruns, received and placed on file. seconded by Rowland and car- tied, the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Santa Aha was granted peEnission to solicit funds for mission work. ,, Police Commissioner Rowland reported that no objection was found to granting permit to F. S. McClain for pool hall at 902 E. Fourth Street as long as the business was conducted as a pool hall only. On motion of Trustee Penn seconded by Bruns and carried, the report of the Police Commission was accepted and the application of F. S. McClain was granted. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Rowland and car- ried, the application of Pappas Bros. for permission to light a Neon sign in front of their place of business, 314 E. Fourth Streot, was referred to the Electrical Inspector. An Ordinance entitled: "An Ordinance prohibiting the solicitation of Tort Claims or Choses in action, and providing penalty for violation thereof." was introduced, read, considered and referred back to the City Attorney. A ReSolution entitled: "Resolution of the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, California, providing for the employment of O'Melveny, Tuller & Myers in connection with the proposed investment bond proceeding" was read, considered, designated Resolution NO. 2392 and adopted. A Resolution entitled: "A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, California, determining and declaring that the public interest and necessity demand the Acquisition of Serial Improvement Bonds and the creation of a fund therefor by the issuance of Investment Bonds of the City of Santa Aha." was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 2393 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees A. F. LeGaye, Fred C. Rowland, W. H. Penn, Plummet W. Bruns, E. G. Warner. Noes, Trustees None. Absent, Trustees None.
