On <br />motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried,' <br /> <br />Judge Mitchell,s report was <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, <br /> <br />received and placed on file. <br /> <br />seconded by Rowland and car- <br /> <br />tied, the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Santa Aha was <br />granted peEnission to solicit funds for mission work. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />Police Commissioner Rowland reported that no objection <br />was found to granting permit to F. S. McClain for pool <br />hall at 902 E. Fourth Street as long as the business was <br />conducted as a pool hall only. On motion of Trustee Penn <br />seconded by Bruns and carried, the report of the Police <br />Commission was accepted and the application of F. S. <br />McClain was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Rowland and car- <br />ried, the application of Pappas Bros. for permission to <br />light a Neon sign in front of their place of business, <br />314 E. Fourth Streot, was referred to the Electrical <br />Inspector. <br /> <br />An Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance prohibiting the solicitation of Tort <br /> Claims or Choses in action, and providing penalty <br /> for violation thereof." <br /> <br />was introduced, read, considered and referred back to the <br />City Attorney. <br /> <br />A ReSolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution of the City Council of the City of Santa <br /> Aha, California, providing for the employment of <br /> O'Melveny, Tuller & Myers in connection with the <br /> proposed investment bond proceeding" <br /> <br />was read, considered, designated Resolution NO. 2392 and <br />adopted. <br /> <br />A Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "A Resolution of the City Council of the City of <br /> Santa Aha, California, determining and declaring <br /> that the public interest and necessity demand the <br /> Acquisition of Serial Improvement Bonds and the <br /> creation of a fund therefor by the issuance of <br /> Investment Bonds of the City of Santa Aha." <br /> <br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 2393 and <br />passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees A. F. LeGaye, Fred C. Rowland, W. H. <br /> Penn, Plummet W. Bruns, E. G. Warner. <br /> <br />Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br />Absent, Trustees None. <br /> <br /> <br />
