Valley Irrigation Co. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Brumm, seconded by Penn and carried, <br /> the applications of the Merriam for Governor Club for use <br /> of Birch Park, the evening of August 10th and of Earl <br /> Crawford for use of Birch Park, Saturday, August llth, for <br /> A. C. Edington, Candidate for Lieut. Governor, were grante <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Rowland and <br /> <br /> the application of A. G. Diehl for permission to use Birch <br /> Park, the evening of August 15th, was granted. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Rowland, seconded by Penn and car- <br /> signed <br />tied, the communication/b~ Henry Isenberg and others, <br /> <br />residents and property owners on E. Second, E. Third and <br />Hathaway Streets expressing gratitude to Trustee Bruns <br />for having their streets oiled, was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Rowland and car- <br />ried, the communication from the Register Publishing Com- <br />pany calling attention to the fact that the bid- of the <br />Register is lower than that of any other daily newspaper <br />published in Southern California, was received and filed. <br /> <br />A communication was read from the Federal Emergoncy <br />Ad~ninistration of Public Works setting forth conditions <br />to be included in the Bond Contract or Grant Agreement for <br />the allotment of funds for the City Hall project. On <br />motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Rowland and carried, <br />the con~nunlcation was referred to the City Attorney. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Rowland and car- <br />ried, the Application of Clinton Lee for permission to <br />drive a taxicab for C. F. Eddleman, was referred to the <br />Taxicab Commission. <br /> <br />An application of the Santa Ana Valley Irrigation Company <br />was read requesting permission to replace the pipe line <br />along the west side of Santa Fe Street from First to <br /> <br /> <br />
