Sycamore Street, was referred to a com- mittee of Trustee Rowland and Chief Howard to investigate. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Rowland and carried the application ~f Knox & Stout for a refund on their city license on store located at .215 E. Fourth Street, in the amount of $~.07, was denied. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, was granted~ the application of the Spartan Athletic Club/for the use of the ~unicipal Bowl for the purpose of practicing football on Tuesday and Thursday evening of each week, provided no previous ar~angements have been made for the use of tho Bow] On motion of Trustee Rowland, seconded by Bruns and carried the resignation of Fleetwood Bell as a member of the Fores- try Board, was accepted with regrets. On motion of Trustee Rowland, seconded by Bruns and carried. J. Russell Bruff was appointed a member of the Forestry Board to fill the vacancy as recommended by the Planning Commission. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Rowland and carried, the following Resolution was adopted: "Whereas, the League of California Municipalities meets in Pasadena, September ~th, ~th, ~ath and ~Tth, and V~ereas, the City of Santa Ama is a member of said League and Whereas, questions of vital importance to the Nunicipali- ties will be discussed at said Convention, Therefore, Be It Resolved, that this Council requests as many heads of tbs Departments as can do so to attend as many sessions of said Convention ss they can without neg- lecting their official duties in Santa Ana." Mr. Jules Markel S.E.R.A. project appeared before the Council explaining the secured by the ~ounty Planning Commission to get a land use survey of the County of Orange and suggest lng t~hat the City Planning Commission investigate a buildin survey under the S.E.R.A. for the City ~ Santa Aha. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Rowland and carried, the matter relative to securing a prospective ~ilding sur- vey under the S.E.R.A. was referred to the Planning Commis- sion to investigate. An Ordinance entitled: "An Ordinance amending Section 55 of Ordinance No. 658 and amendments thereto entitled: 'An Ordinance providing for the Licensing of Business, Shows, Exhibitions and Games conducted or carried on in the City of Santa Ana, fixing Peddling Meats, Bakery Goods,etc.the rate of License therefor and providing for collection thereof," was introduced, read, considered and referred back to the City Attorney.
