Sycamore Street, was referred to a com- <br /> mittee of Trustee Rowland and Chief Howard to investigate. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Rowland and carried <br /> the application ~f Knox & Stout for a refund on their city <br /> license on store located at .215 E. Fourth Street, in the <br /> amount of $~.07, was denied. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br /> was granted~ <br /> the application of the Spartan Athletic Club/for the use of <br /> <br /> the ~unicipal Bowl for the purpose of practicing football <br /> on Tuesday and Thursday evening of each week, provided no <br /> previous ar~angements have been made for the use of tho Bow] <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Rowland, seconded by Bruns and carried <br /> the resignation of Fleetwood Bell as a member of the Fores- <br /> try Board, was accepted with regrets. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Rowland, seconded by Bruns and carried. <br />J. Russell Bruff was appointed a member of the Forestry <br />Board to fill the vacancy as recommended by the Planning <br />Commission. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Rowland and carried, <br />the following Resolution was adopted: <br /> <br /> "Whereas, the League of California Municipalities meets <br />in Pasadena, September ~th, ~th, ~ath and ~Tth, and <br /> V~ereas, the City of Santa Ama is a member of said League <br />and <br /> Whereas, questions of vital importance to the Nunicipali- <br />ties will be discussed at said Convention, <br /> Therefore, Be It Resolved, that this Council requests as <br />many heads of tbs Departments as can do so to attend as <br />many sessions of said Convention ss they can without neg- <br />lecting their official duties in Santa Ana." <br /> <br />Mr. Jules Markel <br />S.E.R.A. project <br /> <br />appeared before the Council explaining the <br />secured by the ~ounty Planning Commission <br />to get a land use survey of the County of Orange and suggest <br />lng t~hat the City Planning Commission investigate a buildin <br />survey under the S.E.R.A. for the City ~ Santa Aha. On <br />motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Rowland and carried, <br />the matter relative to securing a prospective ~ilding sur- <br />vey under the S.E.R.A. was referred to the Planning Commis- <br />sion to investigate. <br /> <br />An Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance amending Section 55 of Ordinance No. 658 <br /> and amendments thereto entitled: 'An Ordinance providing <br /> for the Licensing of Business, Shows, Exhibitions and Games <br />conducted or carried on in the City of Santa Ana, fixing <br />Peddling Meats, Bakery Goods,etc.the rate of License therefor and providing for collection <br /> thereof," <br /> <br />was introduced, read, considered and referred back to the <br />City Attorney. <br /> <br /> <br />
