Nain St. <br /> <br />was in writing and is filed with the communications for this <br />meeting in the City Clerk's office. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the Clerk was instructed to send invitations for the dedica- <br />tion of the new City Hall to be held, Tuesday, De~ember 3rd, <br />1935, at 3:30 P.E., to the Board of Supervisors, Senator <br />Edwards, Assemblymen Craig and Utt, Paul B. Witmer, Clyde C. <br />Downing, members of the City Council of incorporated cities <br />in Orange County and a special invitation to Hamilton H. <br />Cotton. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the Nayor was authorized to sign the City Council's approval <br />to the budget prepared by the City Engineer covering the <br />first quarter cent gasol~ine tax for the 1935-37 biennium for <br />submission to the State Highway Division. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />that the following streets between the following limits be <br />designated as streets of major importance suitable for im- <br />provement and maintenance from the second quarter cent gas <br />tax fund, to-wit: <br /> <br /> Seventeenth Street from the East City Limits to the West <br /> City Limits. <br /> Fifth Street from the West City Limits to ~aln ~t~eet. <br /> Fourth Street from Artesia Street to East City Limits. <br /> Edinger Street from ~lstoi Street to South Lin S~reet. <br /> Sixth Street from Nain Street to French Street. <br /> Fruit Street from French Street to the East City Limits. <br /> Bristol Street from ~he North City Limits to Edinger Street <br /> Flower Street from Santa Ana Boulevard to Edinger Street <br /> excepting State Highway Route ~199 between Fairhaven Avenue <br /> and North Park Boulevard. <br /> Broadway from Santa Ana Boulevard to Delhi Road, all as <br /> more particularly shown on a map on file in the Clerk's offic, <br /> with the communications of this meeting. <br /> <br /> . <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> <br />City Auditor Lloyd H. Banks was appointed personnel officer <br />and Building Custodian of the City Hall building to receive, <br />file and investigate such applications for positions in the <br /> <br />City Hall and report to the <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, <br /> <br />Council his recommendations. <br /> <br />seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> <br />a Resolution was introduced accepting the following deeds to <br /> <br />the City of Santa Ana of portions of right-of-way for widen- <br />ing South Naln Street: <br /> <br /> <br />
