Gilbert for a permit to conduct a <br />Dancing Academy in the American Legion Hall at Third and <br />Birch Streets on Wednesday and Saturday nights of each week, <br />was granted. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, the <br />application of Leslie P. Shadduck for a permit to conduct a <br />rabbit yard at 122 E. Edinger Street, was referred to the <br />P~anning Commission. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the application of Harry Blank for a license permit to con- <br /> <br />duct an auction sale <br />tings of the Pacific <br />1908 W. Fifth Street, <br />denied and the Chief <br /> <br />of new and used plumbing pipe and fit- <br />Coast Plumbing and Salvage Company at <br /> <br />to be held December 3rd, 1935, was <br />of Police was instructed to.enforce the <br /> <br />action taken by the City Council. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the applications of MacFarlane Electric for permits to hang <br />electric signs for H.R. Sycamore Stree <br />were granted under supervision of the Electrical Inspector. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, <br /> <br />the monthly reports of <br />month of November, were <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, <br />the Clerk was instructed to <br /> <br />the various city officers for the <br />referred to the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />seconded by Layton and carried, <br />draw warrants numbering from one <br /> <br />thousand and one to one thousand two hundred sixty-three <br />inclusive, according to demands audited by the Finance Com- <br />mittee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Stuns and carried, <br />the budget covering major streets other than State Highways <br />for expenditure of the one-fourth cent gas tax, was approved <br />as prepared by the City Engineer and examined by the committe~ <br />appointed, and the Mayor was authorized to sign the same. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the report of the committee appointed to investigate, was - <br />approved, recommending that the application of Albert Hazel- <br />hurst for a permit to operate buses be denied and that the <br />application of C. H. Eckles to add new routes and extend old <br />routes on his bus service be approved. <br /> <br /> <br />
