Smith, Plummer W. Bruns; <br /> Ernest H. Layton. <br /> <br />Clerk. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Trustees W. H. Penn, Fred C. Rowland. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and <br />carried, Trustee Smith was appointed May0r Pro Tem. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Ordinance Nc.lO20 <br /> <br />Fixing Tax ~ate ~oxa ~ <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Ordinance <br /> <br />Reg~lating Dance <br /> <br />Halls, Pavilions, <br /> <br />etc. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />P.W.A. <br /> <br />Projects. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee ~ayton, seconded by Bruns, the <br /> <br />Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance of the City of Santa Ana, California, fixing <br />the amount of money ascertained to carry on the various <br />departments of the City of Smuta Ana, and to pay the bonded <br />indebtedness falling due for the current year 1935-36, and <br />fixing the rate of taxation for the current year 1935-36, <br />designating the number of cents on each $100.00 for the var- <br />ious funds of said City, on the whole of the taxable property <br />of said City as set by the County Assessor of the County of <br />Orange, State of California, and equalized by the Board of <br />Supervisors of said County, and hereby levied on the whole <br />of the taxable property of said City." <br /> <br />was finally read, considered, designated Ordinance No. 1020 <br /> <br />and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, <br /> <br /> Noes, <br />Absent, <br /> <br />Trustees Joseph P. Smith, Plummet W. Bruns, <br /> Ernest H. Layton. <br /> <br />Trustees None. <br /> <br />Trustees W. H. Penn, Fred C. Rowland. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance regulating dance halls, dancing pavilions <br /> and places where dances are regularly conducted and car- <br /> ried on in the City of Santa Ana, California" <br /> <br />was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for <br />second reading. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the Municipal Bulletin from the League of California Munici- <br />palities stating that September 16th has been set as the dead <br />line for receiving in the State PWA offices applications on <br />projects out of new PWA funds, was received and referred to <br /> <br /> <br />
