Projects. <br /> <br />The Chair granted the committee, which was appointed, an <br />additional two weeks to investigate the application of Dr. <br />Robert S. Wade to construct a physician's office on the <br />northeast corner of Eighth and Bush Streets. <br /> <br />Trustee Smith as Building contact man of the City Hall ex- <br />plained some changes and savings to be made in the building. <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />Trustee Smith was authorized to proceed with changes in the <br />City Hall building as follows: Hetal 'lath to grip lath, pro- <br />vide acoustics for ceiling in lobby and partial partition for <br />Clerk's private office. Further investigation to be made by <br />Trustee Smith with reference to eliminating grill work on the <br />outside of building and report back to the Cotuucil. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Le. yton, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />Joseph P. Smith, ~ayor Pro Tem of the City of Santa Aha was <br />authorized and empowered by Resolution No. 2&~6, to accept <br />and agree to certain conditions in behalf of the Governmental <br />Unit making application for Santiago Creek Park and Flood <br />Control Project under S.E.R.A. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution requesting grant of funds for certain <br /> changes in proposed plans and specifications for <br /> City Hall" <br /> <br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 24~? and <br />passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees Plummer W. Bruns, W. H. Penn, <br /> Ernest H. Layton, Joseph P. Smith. <br /> <br /> None. <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees <br />Absent, Trustee <br /> <br />Fred C. Rowland. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Pem~, seconded by Layton and carried, <br /> <br />the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance of the City of Santa Ana, California, fixing <br />the amount of money ascertained to carry on the various <br />departments of the City of Santa Ana, and to pay the bonded <br />indebtedness falling due for the current year 1938-56, and <br />fixing the rate of taxation for the current year 19~5-38, <br />designating the number of cents on each $100.00 for the var- <br />ious funds of said City on the whole of the taxable property <br />of said City as set by the County Assessor of the County of <br />Orange, State of California, and equalized by the Board of <br />Supervisors of said County, and hereby levied on the whole of <br />the taxable property on said City" <br /> <br />was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for <br /> <br />second reading. <br /> <br /> <br />
