No. 2438 <br /> <br />Comm~nding Board <br /> <br />of Equalization. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On mot'ion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance of the City of Santa Aha establishing Rules <br /> and'Regulat~ms gover~ing the use of Public Parks and Play- <br /> grounds in the Oity of Santa Aha" <br /> <br />was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for <br />second reading. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution commending the Board of Equalization of the <br />State of California for its action concerning sale of intoxi- <br />cating liquor to minors" <br /> <br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 2438 and <br />passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees Joseph P. Smith, Plummet W. Bruns, W. H. <br /> Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Smith, Plummet W. Bruns, <br /> W. R. Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. <br /> <br />Absent: T~Gstees None. <br /> <br />tn Re <br /> <br />At the request of Trustee Ernest H. Layton, the following <br /> <br />Statement of <br /> <br />statement,with reference to the improvement and widening of <br /> <br />Ernest H. Layton. <br /> <br />South Main Street, was ordered spread on the records: <br /> <br /> "Regarding the approved project of widening South Main <br />Street on the west side between the South City Limits and <br />Fairview Ave., a careful study of the situation and many <br />interviews with my fellow committeemen and others convinces <br />me that the city should avail itself of the opportunity to <br />employ the money offered by the Federal Government for this <br />purpose. <br /> Our required contrigution towards the project can be <br />supplied from our State Highway ~ cent Gas Tax Fund which is <br />accumulating and by law positively can not be spent elsewhere <br />than on State Highways within the city. <br /> <br /> <br />
