Russell Hardcastle to conduct his busi- ness at said location, # On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, the application of the Powell Neon Sign Company to hang an electric sign for Wilson and Hill at 2B8 N. Broadway was referred to the Electrical Inspector for approval and to be hung under his supervision. . On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana California, determlng and declaring that it will be for the interest and advantage of said City to become a party to the Joint agreement proposed by City of Newport Beach, a munici- pal corporation, and others." was read~ considered, designated Resolution No. ~483 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Plummet W. Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. Noes, Trustees None. Absent, Trustees W. H. Penn. . On motion of Trustee ~Sm~th, seconded by Bruns and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: "An Ordinance of the City of Santa Ana, California, fixing the amount of money ascertained to carry on the various departments of the City of Santa Ana, and to pay the bonded indebtedness falling due for the current year 1938-37, and fixing the rate of taxation for the current year designating the number of cents on each $100.00 for the various funds of said City, on the whole of the taxable property of said City as set by the County Assessor of the County of Orange, State of California, and equalized by the Board of Supervisors of said County, and hereby levied on the whole of the taxable property of said City." was read, considered, designated Ordinance No. 103B and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Pl~mmer W. Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, Ernest H. Layton, Fred Co Rowland. None. Noes, Trustees Absent, Trustees # W. H. Penn. On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, the proper- tl at 311 W.
