Russell Hardcastle. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the communication of the Orange County League of Municipali- <br />ties relative to the monthly meeting to be held on Thursday, <br />August 27th, 1936, at 6:30 P.M., in the Legion Hut, Newport <br />Beach, was received and filed and all members urged to attend <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the communication of the City of Santa Monica inviting the <br />City officials to attend the 3$th Annual Convention of the <br />League of California Municipalities to be held in Santa Monic~ <br />September 9, 10, ll and 12th, was accepted and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the communications of the Chamber of Commerce and of Mrs. <br />Frank Clark objecting to the installation of parking meters <br />in Santa Ana, were received, accepted and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the application of De Molay and Jobs Daughters of Santa Ana <br />for a free license permit and free electrical permit to con- <br />duct and sponsor Crafts Tent Show to be held in Santa Aha, <br />October 12th to 1Sth, at the southwest corner of Fourth and <br />Garfield Streets, was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the communication of Harold P. Huls, Chairman of the 1915 <br />Improvement Bond Act Oommittee, submitting a report of the <br />Special Counsel of said Committee, was referred to the 0ity <br />Attorney to acknowledge and for study to be referred back to <br />the City Council. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the application of F. Russell Hardcastle for a special permit <br />to mover his business to 109 E. Seventh Street, was referred <br />to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion of <br /> <br />Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, the property <br /> posted <br />at 109 E. Seventh Street was ordered/for special uses and the <br /> <br />Joint hearing date set September 8th, 19~6, in accordance <br /> <br /> <br />
