On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Penn and carried, the recommendation of the City Engineer was accepted and the final estimate of Oswald Brothers in connection with their contract for the paving of Broadway from First Street to of Tenth Street and the improving/Fourth Street at its intersec- tion with Sycamore Street, in the amount of $34,152.90, was approved. On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, .consideration of the Ordinance to change the zone on property of James G. Smith, was deferred for two weeks. . On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: "An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 10~9 entitled 'An Ordinance regulating the use of devices and/or apparatus which interferes with radio broadcasting reception, in the City of Santa Ana, repealing all Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith and providing penalties for the violation hereof'" was lntrgduced, read, considered and placed on file for second reading. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: "An Ordinance prohibiting the conduct or maintenance of the business of forwarding bets to a license race track" was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for second reading. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried, the report of the committee was accepted, recommending changes and ordering the street lights on South Main Street from First Street south changed from 1500 to 2500 lumen. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, Council adjourned. the City C4fty/Clerk.
