Main St. <br /> <br />APPROVED: <br /> <br />Mayor of the Ulty of Santa Ana. <br /> <br /> benefit of the St. Anthony Club of the Catholic Church, was <br /> referred to the Police Commissioner and Chief with power to <br /> act. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Penn and carried, <br /> the recommendation of the City Engineer was accepted and the <br /> final estimate of Oswald Brothers in connection with their <br /> <br /> contract for the paving of Broadway from First Street to <br /> of <br /> Tenth Street and the improving/Fourth Street at its intersec- <br /> <br />tion with Sycamore Street, in the amount of $34,152.90, was <br />approved. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />.consideration of the Ordinance to change the zone on property <br />of James G. Smith, was deferred for two weeks. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 10~9 entitled 'An <br /> Ordinance regulating the use of devices and/or apparatus <br /> which interferes with radio broadcasting reception, in <br /> the City of Santa Ana, repealing all Ordinances and parts <br /> of Ordinances in conflict herewith and providing penalties <br /> for the violation hereof'" <br /> <br />was lntrgduced, read, considered and placed on file for <br />second reading. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance prohibiting the conduct or maintenance of <br /> the business of forwarding bets to a license race track" <br /> <br />was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for <br />second reading. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the report of the committee was accepted, recommending <br />changes and ordering the street lights on South Main Street <br />from First Street south changed from 1500 to 2500 lumen. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> Council adjourned. <br /> <br />the City <br /> <br />C4fty/Clerk. <br /> <br /> <br />
