Flower Street between Eighth Street and Washington Avenue. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, the following 0rdinanee entitled: "An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 1049 entitled 'An Ordinance regulating the use of devices and/or apparatus which interferes with radio broadcasting reception, in the City of Santa Ana, repealing all Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith and providing penalties for the violation hereof'" was read, considered, designated Ordinance No. 1057 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, No~s, Absent, Trustees Plum~r W. B~uns, Joseph P.Smith, W.H. Penn Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. Trustees None. Trustees None. On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by B~uns and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: "An Ordinance of the City of Santa Aha changing the Zone of certain property in said City# was read, considered, designated Ordinance No. 1058 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Plummet W. Bruns, Joseph P.Smith, W.H. Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. Noes, Trustees None Absent, Trustees None. # On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, the request of the City Attorney to assist in the hearing to vacate the injunction against the City of Fullerton on the race track betting agencies, was granted and he was urged to assist to determine Santa Ana's position in such matters. # On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried, the Ordinance prohibltiug race track betting agencies was held over until receipt of information on the hearing to be held December 10th, in the vacating of injunction against the City of Fullerton and the applications of the California For- warding Co., J. P. Sullivan and Karl G. Baker to conduct race track betting agencies in Santa Ana, were also held over ~ntil said hearing is had. It was brought to the Council's attention to appoint the Civil Service Commission by the City Attorney. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, the communication of Mildred P. Browning, Vice President of the League of Women Voters, suggesting the personnel of the Civil Service Board, was received and referred to the Council as a whole. .
