Dalton, M.D. to conduct temporary doctor's office at the southeast corner of Bush and Seventeenth Street was denied~ # On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, the communication of the Coaches and Players of the Football Team of the Santa Ana Junior College expressing appreciation for the Council's cooperation and support this past year, was received, acknowledged and filed. . On' motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, the communication of the Pacific Coast Electrical Bureau urging the adoption of the new Standard Electrical Code, was referred to Trustee Penn and Electrical Inspector Packard for study and report back. . On motion of.Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, the applications of Electrical Contractors to hang electrical signs, were granted under supervision of the Electrical In- spector, as follows: Advertiser's Press ll8 W. Main St. # On motion of T~ustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, the report of the Police Department for the month of November was received and referred to the Finance Committee. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, the application of John C. Duke for a permit to drive a tax~- cab for the Blue Cab Company, was granted on recommendation o: the Taxicab Commission. # On recommendation of the Chief of Police and on motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, Loule J. Heffner was appointed a special police officer without pay. . On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, C]~ rk was instructed to proceed to open bids for the printing and binding /of City Ordinances in Code form, as follows: Gilbert P. Campbell--400 pages and cover $849.00, more or less than 400 pages, add or deduct $1.60 per page. Quality Print Shop---400 pages, more or less, per page $2., Cover for pamphlet at cost of $2.40. On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Smith and carried, the bid of Gilbert P. Campbell in amount of $849.00, was accepted as the lowest responsible bid and the bid of the Quality Print Shop was rejected and certified check ordered returned.
