On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, the City Clerk was instructed to draw warrants numbering from 2235 to 2437 inclusive, as audited by the Finance Committee. # On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Penn and carried, the lease agreement with May-Bemis Company for the rental of motor grader at $300.00 per month, to be entered into by the Purchasing Agent if and when the date of expiration of lease and option is changed to July 30th, 1938. Roll Call: Ayes, Trustees Plummer W. Bruns, W. H. Penn, Ernest H. Layton Fred C. Rowland, Noes, Trustees Joseph P. Smith, Absent, None On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, the Mayor was authorized to appoint a committee relative to purchase of equipment for the repair of the pumping plant at the Joint 0utfa!l Sewer. Trustees Smith and Bruns and City Auditor Banks were appointed as the committee. On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the City of Santa Ana as contracting party, to purchase insurance on the Joint Outfall Sewer in the amount of $100,000.00 with initial premium as $3250.00, subject to the apyroval of the other member cities of the Joint 0utfa!! Sewe Upon recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the applica- tion of James S. Jones for a permit to construct a duplex on Lot 20 and the north one-half of Lot 21, Tract 854, being on the east side of Olive Street between Tenth and Washington, was granted under special use. On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution opposing establishment of Hog l~anch" was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 2522 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Plummet W. Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, W. H. Perm, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. Tr~s tees None. Noes, Absent, Trustees None.
