No. 2601 <br /> <br />Intention to Abandon <br /> <br />Portion of Heliotrope Dr. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br /> the Clerk was instructed to draw warrants according to the <br /> demands audited by the Finance Committee, numbering 1177 to <br /> 1~3 inclusive. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the communication of Albert Launder requesting the various <br />cities and sanitary districts of the Joint 0utfall Sewer, to <br />allow the City of La }{abra to withdraw from the Sewer Distric <br />was referred to the City Attorney for study and report back <br />to the City Council. <br /> <br />Communications of the City Engineer and Water Superintendent <br />were read relative to the completion of improvements in Tract <br />10~§, which is a portion of Heliotrope Drive and on motion of <br />Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, the reports <br />of the City Engineer and Water Superintendent, were accepted <br />and filed and $2000.00 cash bond is to be returned to Allison <br />C. Honer and wife and bond exonerated. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the deed of dedication of a portion of Heliotrope Drive from <br />Allison C. Honer and Helen L. Honer, husband and wife, was <br />accepted. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />A petition with 176 signatures attached requesting the repeal <br />of Ordinance No. lO§A which prohibits the free circulation of <br />handbills and circulars, was read and on motion of Trustee <br />Layton, seconded by Penn and carried, the petition was referr <br />to the Council as a whole. <br /> <br />The report of ~he committee on petitions to repeal Ordinance <br /> given <br />No. 10§4, was/not to repeal the Ordinance but rather to <br /> <br />strengthen it and on motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by <br /> <br />Penn and carried, the report of the committee was accepted. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />City Attorney, L. ~. Blodget filed a copy of the Notice serve <br />upon H. E. Holmes on the findings of fact and recommendation <br />of the Civil Service Board and on motion of Trustee Bruns, <br />seconded by Penn and carried, the report of the Civil Service <br />Board was received and accepted and H. E. Holmes was dismisse <br />from the classified Civil Service of the City of Santa Aha <br />and as a member of the Police Department of the City as of <br />date of suspension from active du~y by the Chief of Police. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the ~ollowing Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Santa <br /> Aha declaring its intention to order the closing up and <br /> abandonment of a portion of Heliotrope Drive heretofore <br /> dedicated for street purposes to the City of Santa Aha; <br /> <br /> <br />
