# <br />In Re On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />Minutes of each member of the Council having received copies of the <br />Forestry Board. minutes of the Forestry Board meetings of February ~2nd, <br />March 1st and ~th, 1~38, same were received and filed. <br />In Re On motion of Trustee Smith, seconde~ by Bruns and carried, <br />meeting of <br />Minutes of copy of the Minutes of the/Executive Board of the Joint Out- <br />J.0.Sewer Board. fall Sewer held Mar~h 10th, 1~8, was received and filed. <br />In Re On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />Appointment the application of F. Maylon Jacobs for appointment as a <br />F. Maylor Jacobs. special police officer of the City, without pay, was granted <br />on recommendation of the Police Commissioner and Chief. <br />In Re On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />Application the application of W. J. Dean and Roy S. Horton for free <br />Job's Daughters license and electrical permit for the Golden State Shows, <br />and DeMolay. sponsored by Job's Daughters and DeMolay, to be held March <br />22nd to 30th, inclusive, was granted. <br />In Re It was moved by Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />Denial of Free that this Board now declare that hereafter it is the policy <br />Permits for Carnivals, etc. of this City Council to deny all applications for free per- <br />mits to conduct street fairs, carnivals, circuses, bazaars <br />or other similar events, even though sponsored by local <br />organizations o.r even though theproceeds thsrefrom be <br />devoted to charitable purposes. <br /># <br />In Re The motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by ~enn, to refer the <br />Application for application of Norman Lee, and others, to sell confections <br />Scout Troop No. 22. on the circus grounds, March 29th, proceeds to be turned <br />over to Soou~ Troop #22, to the Police Commissioner with <br />power to act, was amended on motion of Trustee Smith, secon- <br />ded by Bruns and carried, that the application of Norman Lee <br />and others, be denied for the reason that the Council has no <br />authority to grant applications of this character on private <br />property. <br />In Re On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />Electric Signs. ~he applications of Electrical Contractors to hang electrical <br />signs were granted under supervision of the Electrical <br />Inspector as follows: <br />Union 0il Company 519 S. Main St. <br />G. Nakamura ll2 S. Main S~. <br />Hill & Hill 225 N. Broadway <br />F.E. Stanley ~17~ N. Broadway. <br />In Re On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />Police Report. the monthly report of the Police Department for February, <br />19~8, was received and filed. <br /> <br /> <br />
