Kerr, Guardian of the G.Y. Courts <br /> Estate, for a permit to rent her back yard to a number of <br /> trailers, was referred to the Clerk to secure more tnformati¢ <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br /> the application of the Seventh Day Adventist Church for per- <br /> mission to solicit funds,for their relief and uplift work, <br /> in the sum of $900.00, was granted. <br /> <br /> . <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br /> the application of John A. Jiles for special use to construct <br /> a duplex on the northeast corner of Kllson and Beverly, was <br /> considered and the property described as Lot l, Block E, <br /> <br /> Tract 466 was ordered posted for special use and the hearing <br />· date set August 1st, 1958. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruno and carried, <br /> the request of Company L I85th Infantry for a donation of <br /> $200.00 to their mess fund during encampment July 23rd to <br /> August 7th, 1938, was granted. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried, <br /> the applications of Electrical Contractors to hang electrical <br /> signs, were granted subject to the approval of the Electrical <br /> <br />Inspector and hung under his <br /> <br />supervision as follows: <br /> <br />Shell Oil Company 701 N. Main St. <br />Adams Sport Shop 112 W. 4th St. <br />Sun Cleaners 914 N. Main St. <br />J. J. Merino 801 E. 1st St. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the protest of Sophia A. Witte against weed assessment in <br />amount of $4.80 on Lot 13, Block 3, Artesla Street Tract, <br />was referred to the City Engineer for disposition. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton~' seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the request of O. S. Johnson that the Council install two or <br /> <br />three regulation Roque Courts in Birch Park or elsewhere on <br /> by <br />city property, contributions to be made/a local Roque Club, <br /> <br />was referred to the Forestry Board. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br /> <br />
