Broadway <br /> Warden F. Bishop 116 N. Main St. <br /> La Fonda Cafe (Eva Gonzales) 510 S. Ma~n St. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Kelsey and carried, <br />the application of DeGregory Paint Company to conduct a clos- <br />ing out sale of bankrupt stock at 512 N. Main Street from <br />December 6th to 23rd, 1939, inclusive, was granted under the <br />usual proceedure. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Yost and carried, <br />the recommendation of the Planning Commission was concurred <br />in and the application of Sheridan Owens to conduct a commer- <br /> <br />cial poultry yard at 319 E. <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, <br /> <br />l?th Street, was denied. <br /> <br />seconded by Yost and carried, <br /> <br /> the communication of the Traffic Safety Commission recommend- <br /> ing that a survey be made by the Street Superintendent to <br /> locate unused driveways in the business section and replace <br /> the curb and sidewalk or paint a sign permitting parking in <br /> said drivewsys, was referred to Department of Public Ways. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Yost and carried, <br />the communication of the Traffic Safety Commission supporting <br />the' Council in their desire to establish parallel parking on <br />Sixth Street between Bush snd Broadway and recommending that <br />parallel parking be established on all streets of a roadbed <br />width of forty feet or less, within the business district, <br />was referred to the Department of Public Ways for investiga- <br />tion and report. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee BEms, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the communication of the Traffic Safety Commission approving <br />LieUtenant Hershey's recommendation to make McFadden Street <br />and Fairview Avenue through traffic streets, was referred to <br />the Department of Public Ways for future consideration. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The communication of the Traffic Safety Commission was read, <br />recommending that exits from all alleys in the business dis~ <br />trict be plainly marked with red llne and word 'Stop' painte~ <br />across the alley at the building line. On motion of Trustee <br />Stuns, seconded by Yost and carried, the Department of Public <br />Ways was requested to mark exits from all alleys in the busi- <br />ness district in accordance with the Ordinance now in effect <br /> <br /> <br />
