Sixth Street. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Xelsey, seconded by Yost and carried, <br /> <br /> the Mayor, on behalf of Santa Ana, acting as contracting <br /> City for the Joint 0utfall Sewer members,was authorized to <br /> Public <br />file an application with the State Board of/Health to con- <br /> <br />struct, a. clarifler-digestor plant as per plans of Xcebig and <br />Koebig, Engineers, dated July, 1940, and submitted herewith, <br />said plant to be located in the vicinity of the present sew- <br />age disposal basins and to serve the following additional <br /> <br />communities: Anaheim, Fullerton, Orange, <br />District, Garden Grove Sanitary District, <br />District and Placentia Sanitary Districts <br />completion of <br />disposal. <br /> <br /> Buena Park Sanitar <br /> La Habra Sanitary <br /> <br /> and pending the <br />said plant to continue the existing sewage <br /> <br />0n motion of Trustee Kelsey, seconded by Yost and carried, <br />the application of the ~outhern Pacific Railroad Company, a <br />corporation for a franchise to construct, reca~ruct, main- <br />tain and operate standard gauge railroad tracks with the <br />necessary turnouts and switches upon and across Second and <br />Evergreen Street in the City of Santa A~a, was referred to <br />the Engineer and Attorney for investigation and report back. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Stuns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the Mayor on behalf of the City, was authorized to sign a <br />petition to Zhe Honorable Board of Supervisors of.Orange <br />County, California, to dissolve the Newbert Protection Dis- <br />trict, a public corporation, of the State of California, in <br />the 0ounty of Orange, as one of the owners of acreage of <br />real property located within the exterior boundaries of the <br />Newbert Protection District, a public corporation, organized <br /> <br />and existing under and by virtue <br />6175 of Deer£ng's General Laws of <br />under the authority vested in the <br /> <br />of the provisions of Act <br /> <br /> the State of O$11fornla <br /> Board of Supervisors by <br /> <br />th~ <br /> <br />provisions of Section 91.5 of said Act. That the reasons <br />and needs for which the aforesaid district was organized, <br />and has been in operation, have ~ow been eliminated by the <br />organization and operation of the Orange County Flood Con- <br />trol Dlstrtct and by the erection cf dams in the Santa Aha <br /> <br />River. <br /> <br />No protests having been filed against the e~loslng or abando <br />merit of a portion of ~st Sixth Street, on motion of Trustee <br />Smith, seconded by Yost and carried, a Resolution was intro- <br />duced ordering improvement or abandonment of the following <br />described property: <br /> <br /> Two stripe of land being the norther~ten(10) feet and <br /> the southerly ten (10) feet of the existing eighty (80) <br /> feet in width of East Sixth Street, formerly known as <br /> Central Avenue, commencing At the east line of Grand <br /> Avenue and eatending to the west llne of Maybury Street, <br /> <br /> <br />
