APPROVED: <br /> <br />Mayor of <br /> <br />Deputy. <br /> <br />City Council met in regular session. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by M~ayor Rowland. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees Plummet W. Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, <br /> D. W. Xelsey, E.D. Yost, Fred C. Rowland. <br /> Absent: Trustees None. <br /> <br />The Clerk commenced the reading of the Minutes and <br />each member of the City Council having received a <br />copy of the Minutes, further reading of the Minutes <br />of November 18th and ESth, 1940, was dispensed with and <br />approved on motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith <br />and carried. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Warrants. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Monthly Reports. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Agreement <br /> <br />Harrison Pontiac Co. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Petition of <br /> <br />Veterans' Welfare Board. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />Tide-Water As~o. 0t1'C9~ <br /> <br />Council Chamber <br /> <br />Santa Ana City Hall. <br /> <br />December End, 1940. <br /> <br />7:30 P.~. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Kelsey and carried, <br />warrants numbering from 1E73 to 1483 inclusive, mere ordered <br />drawn in accordance Qith the demands audited by the Finance <br />Committee. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Yost, seconded by Kelsey and carried, <br />the monthly reports of city officers for the ~onth of Novem- <br />ber, were referred to the City Council as a <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee BruDs, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the Mayor and Clerk.were authorized to sign an agreement with <br />the Harrison Pontiac 0~mPany to ~onstruct flood lights over <br />a dead lette~ sign up6n property situ~te~ at 113 W. First <br />Street; which lights extend over ~he set-back line. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Yost and carried, <br />the petition of the Veterans' Welfare Board for the'can6ella-i <br />tion of certain tames appearing on the tax records as a lien <br />against property owned by the Board, was de~ied. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion 6f Trustee Kelsey, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the communication of the Tide-Water Associated Oil Company <br />~ncloeing quit-claim'deed and relinquishing their right to <br />the property owned by the City and leased to W. F. Croddy for <br />o~l drilling purposes, which was sub-leased to the Tide-Water <br />Associated 0il Company, was referred to the City Attorney to <br />investigate and report back to the Council. <br /> <br /> <br />
