Briner, Captain 224th <br />Inf. California National Guard requesting permission to use a <br />strip of land near present Armory, W. 8th St., that can house <br /> <br />three vehicles and on motion' of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy, <br />and carried, <br />matter was referred to committee with power to act. Trustee <br /> <br />Chandler and Park Superintendent were appointed as committee. <br /> <br />A communication was read from Chester G. Briner, Captain 224th <br />Inf. California National Guard stating that the State will permi~ <br />construction of a two-unit Armory if City will furnish a site <br />with a minimum of three acres, preferably five, and on motion of <br />Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, Chairman w~s <br />authorized to appoint a committee to give this matter study and <br />report back. Trustee Chandler and Park Superintendent were <br /> <br />,a, ppotnted as committee. <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the <br /> <br />following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution Concerning Parking Limitations <br /> Under Ordinance No. 1030 as Amended by <br /> Ordinance No. 1192" <br /> <br />establishing one-hour parking zone on both sides of East Fourth <br />Street, from the east line of Mortimer Street to the west line <br />of Grand Avenue, was read, considered, designat~ed Resolmtion No. <br />3719 and passed by the following vote:- <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees <br /> <br />Noes, Trustees <br />Absent, Trustees <br /> <br />W.J.Cheney, Courtney R. Chandler, <br />Allen A. Mandy, Virgil H. Reed, <br />R.
