Cheney, COurtney R. Chandler, <br /> Allen A. Mandy, Virgil H. Heed, <br /> R. Carson Smith. <br />Absent: Trustees None <br /> <br />Each member of the City Council having received copies <br />of the Minutes of Special Meeting held March 1st, 1948, <br />10:30 A.M. and Regular Meeting held March ~ t, 1948, <br />7:30 P.M., furbher reading of the Minutes was dispensed <br />with and approved on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded <br />by Cheney and carried. <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />Federal Public <br />Housing Authority <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, <br />communication from National Housing Agency, Federal Public Housin <br />Authority, reference status of Resident Manager and Maintenance <br /> <br />Employees of Veterans Project V-4382, Casa de Santa Ana, was <br /> <br />referred to committee for further discussion and action with powe <br /> <br />to act. Chairman of the Board appointed Trustee Chandler, <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />City Engineer <br />Road Program <br /> <br />Auditor Martien and City Attorney on co~mnittee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, <br />cooy of letter from City Engln~eer addressed to County Engineer <br />stating that Council would like to have Placentia Avenue extended <br /> <br />southerly from the Hospit~ to connect with Garden Grove Blvd. <br /> <br />west of the Santa Ana River and McFadden from the easterly City <br /> <br />Limite to Newport Blvd, and Bristol Street extended southerly fro <br /> <br />Baker to connect with Newport Blvd. and Pallisades Road, was <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />Metro. Water Dist. <br /> <br />received and filed. <br /> <br />Communication was read from Representative Member, <br /> <br />Board of <br /> <br />Directors, Metropolitan Water District, urging that each member <br /> <br />City of the district pass a resolution protesting any further <br />allocation of Colorado River water to the state of Arizona, and <br /> <br />on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, Mayor <br /> <br />and Clerk were authorized to execute Resolution as approved by <br /> <br />In Re <br />Resol. No. 3647 <br />Metro. Water Dist. <br /> <br />City Attorney and Water Superintendent. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, a <br /> <br />Resolution opposing any new projects calling for the diversion of <br /> <br />water on the lower Colorado River until Supreme Court settlement <br /> <br />is made, was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3647 and <br /> <br />passed bY the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, <br /> <br />Trustees W.J,Cheney, Courtney R.
